# Level Caps & EXP Curve

DewataRO locks your Base and Job level caps to your current class tier, and each tier's EXP table ends in a hard wall you can only break through by job-changing or rebirthing.

## EXP Curve & the Tier-Cap Wall

Base, Job, Quest, and MVP EXP all run at a flat 40x the official rate, and a single kill or quest can never grant more than 100% of your current level's bar in one hit — no one-shot power-leveling. Full rate details live in [../reference/server-rates.md](/wiki/reference/server-rates.md).

The catch is the curve itself: the EXP required for the very last level of each tier's table is set absurdly high — practically uncrossable. That's the tier-cap wall. Once you hit it, grinding more EXP at that level does nothing until you job-change (or rebirth) into the next tier, which unlocks a fresh, normal-scaled EXP table starting again from a low requirement. This keeps every class transition — 1st to 2nd job, rebirth into Trans, 2nd to 3rd job, and 3rd to 4th job — a deliberate checkpoint rather than something you can grind straight past.
