# Rules of Conduct

Playing on DewataRO means agreeing to these rules. GMs enforce them, and their decisions are final.

1. **No botting or automation.** Don't use third-party programs, bots, or auto-combat / auto-walk macros that play for you. The server's own `@autotrade` (offline vending) and `@autoloot` are fine — those are built-in features.
2. **No exploit or bug abuse.** Found a bug, a dupe, or an unintended payout? Report it on Discord — don't use it. Abuse means a ban and a rollback.
3. **No real-money trading (RMT).** Buying or selling zeny, items, or accounts for real money — between players, outside official donations — is banned. See [Donating & Cash Points](/wiki/donations-and-cash-shop/donating-cash-points.md) for what donations can and can't get you.
4. **No scamming.** Trade scams, "hold my item" cons, and phishing are bannable. Use the trade window; trade at your own risk.
5. **Your account is your responsibility.** Don't share it — items lost to account sharing can't be recovered. Recovery is via **Discord ticket only** (no email is stored), so register with details you'll remember.
6. **Be respectful.** No harassment, hate speech, threats, racism, or sexual content in public chat.
7. **No spam or advertising.** Don't flood chat, and don't advertise other servers.
8. **Don't impersonate staff.** Don't claim to be a GM — real staff carry a GM tag.
9. **Multi-client is allowed.** Open as many game windows as you like.
10. **Kill-stealing is fine.** Maps are shared and drops/EXP are per-player, so KS isn't a rule here — just don't deliberately block or grief others at events (Barong / Rangda / Mushroom).

## Punishments

Enforcement scales with severity: **warning → mute → temporary ban → permanent ban.**

**RMT, exploit/dupe abuse, and hacking are an immediate permanent ban — no warning.**
