# Barong Chase

A server-wide, no-combat hourly hunt — track down the wandering Barong spirit as he flees from town to town, and click him for Dewata Coin.

## How It Works

* Barong rests at his home perch in **prontera 140,181** between rounds.
* On the hour, every hour, he vanishes from Prontera and appears in a random town somewhere else on the map — that's your signal the round is live.
* Click him to catch him. The moment you do, he immediately flees to another random town.
* There's no fighting involved — just fast feet and sharp eyes. Anyone can join at any point during the round.
* A server announcement fires every time someone catches him, naming the catcher and the town he fled to next, so you can follow the chase even if you're not there yet.

## Round & Rewards

Each round lasts **10 minutes** from the moment Barong first appears. Rewards are settled for everyone at once when the round ends — not per catch.

| Outcome | Reward |
| ------------------------------------------ | ------------- |
| Caught him at least once | 1 Dewata Coin |
| Round Champion (most catches in the round) | 3 Dewata Coin |

If nobody catches him during the round, he simply returns home with no payout, and the cycle restarts next hour.

## Where He Can Appear

Barong can turn up in any of the server's classic towns — Geffen, Payon, Morroc, Alberta, Izlude, Al De Baran, Comodo, Umbala, Juno, Amatsu, Gonryun, Louyang, Ayothaya, Einbroch, Lighthalzen, Hugel, Rachel, Veins, Dewata, and Brasilis. Prontera itself is only his resting spot between rounds, never a chase location.

## Tips

* Watch the announcement feed — it tells you exactly which town to run to next.
* Multiple catches in the same round stack toward the Champion title, so staying close to Barong's trail pays off.
* Dewata Coin earned here can be spent at the [Dewata Coin](/wiki/economy-and-currencies/dewata-coin.md) sinks, or check the [Automated Events Schedule](/wiki/events-and-farming/events-schedule.md) to see how Barong lines up with the server's other hourly events.
